Malacca, Borneo and Java, deck by deck

Four names cover six cabins. Malacca I and Borneo are on the upper deck, Malacca II and Java on the main deck. Malacca I and Malacca II are one cabin each, Borneo and Java two each.

Malacca I is the upper-deck master. It has a private balcony with a jacuzzi tub, a double bed and a glass-walled bathroom beside the bed. Malacca II is the master on the main deck, with a private balcony and a free-standing oval bathtub under two large windows facing the sea.

Borneo, upstairs, and Java, on the main deck, are the deluxe cabins. Each has a double bed, air conditioning and a window onto the sea. Neither has a balcony. All six have an ensuite bathroom with a hot shower, and the bed is a double; its size is on request, confirmed in writing before you pay.

What one seat costs, cabin by cabin

An open-trip seat is sold per person, two sharing, for three days and two nights. On the 2026 card Java is IDR 8,750,000 (≈ USD 537) and Borneo is IDR 9,000,000 (≈ USD 552). Malacca II is IDR 11,000,000 (≈ USD 675), and Malacca I is IDR 12,000,000 (≈ USD 736).

A cabin goes to two paying guests. That is the minimum, and one person cannot take a cabin alone. A solo guest asks us, and any arrangement is confirmed in writing before you pay.

For 2027, seats from March to May and October to December start from the cabin prices in the table. June to September carries higher seat prices. Each seat price is confirmed in writing before you pay. The local guide comes with the seat; Komodo National Park tickets do not.

Two beds beyond the twelve, placed in writing

The boat has two extra beds in total. With them, the 12 who sleep in the cabins become 14, and 14 is the most the boat ever carries. The fare for an extra bed is per guest and depends on the length of the trip.

An extra bed is a request. Which cabin it goes into, and what kind of bed it is, we confirm in writing before you pay. Nothing about it is settled by a message alone, and nothing is settled by this page.

Two guests sharing a double bed each pay the seat price. A guest on an extra bed pays the extra-bed fare, and a child aged 0 to 2 travels free. Tell us the ages of the children and we confirm the head count in writing.

Choosing a cabin when you are there to snorkel

You spend the day in the water and on the walks, so the cabin is where you sleep, rinse and dry your things. Choose by what you want between dinner and breakfast.

A balcony means Malacca I or Malacca II, the only two that have one. For a jacuzzi tub it is Malacca I; for a bathtub, Malacca II. The lowest seat price is Java, and the upper deck without the master price is Borneo.

Every cabin sails the same route, eats the same meals and meets the same crew. A first-time snorkeller loses nothing in a deluxe cabin.

Each bathroom has a hot shower, so the rinse after the reef comes first when you climb back aboard. Wet things are part of this trip, and the bathroom is where they go. A drying room and a storage plan are on request. Ask us what you need to know before you pack, and we answer in writing. Pack light: a backpack is on the bring list, and a large case is not.

Dates held for your cabin

Held for you means a named cabin on a named date, confirmed with you in writing. The departures page lists every open-trip date, and we tell you on WhatsApp which cabins are still free on yours.

Tell us the cabin, the date and the head count. We reply with the seat price for that date and the pickup hour, which we confirm with your seat; 09:30 is the planning figure.

With two Borneo and two Java cabins, a party of four friends can take two cabins of one type on the same date. The Malacca cabins are one each, so only one pair holds each on a given departure. If the cabin you want is taken, we say so at once and name the nearest alternative, with its price.

FAQ

Which cabins have a private balcony?

Only the two Malacca cabins. Malacca I has a balcony with a jacuzzi tub, and Malacca II has a balcony with a free-standing bathtub inside the cabin. Borneo and Java look onto the sea through a window and have no balcony, upstairs and on the main deck respectively.

Does a child under 3 pay for a seat?

A child of 0 to 2 travels free, and from 3 the full fare is charged. A child still needs a place to sleep, so tell us the ages and we confirm the bed plan and the head count in writing before you pay.

What happens if the boat cannot sail?

You are offered a different boat, of the same class or better, for those dates with nothing extra to pay, or the whole fare returned inside 14 days. The offer reaches you in writing on WhatsApp, with the boat's name, and nothing is decided for you.

Which cabin is best for a first-time snorkeller?

Any of the six. The route, the meals, the snorkelling gear and the crew are the same whichever cabin you hold. Choose Java for the lowest seat price, or a Malacca cabin if a balcony matters. The water does not change with the deck.

Can I book Raffles Cruise for 2027 already?

Yes. 2027 open-trip dates are listed and a private charter can be reserved for any 2027 date. The 2027 card is published for March to May and October to December. June to September is higher, and we send you that figure on WhatsApp. January and February are on request. Sailings up to 31 December 2026 use the 2026 card.
