What the booking team looks after
We look after four things. Booking is the first step. Your confirmation sets out the dates, the trip length, the cabin plan and the number of guests. Payment comes second: 50 per cent as the deposit, the rest 30 days ahead of sailing.
Pickup follows. It is 09:30 for a multi-day trip and 05:00 for the full day, from the hotel or the airport. The hotel night before boarding is last, and the hotels page lists the places we can arrange it with.
Flights are yours to book. We advise, and we sell no tickets. We register your park tickets from the names and passport numbers you send, and we quote the guide and the photo documentation separately on a charter.
What the boat's crew looks after at sea
A crew of 8 sails with every trip. This page names no crew roles and no individuals. The crew works for the boat, not for us.
Once afloat, the captain settles the order of the stops and the night's anchorage according to that day's weather. The crew decides when and where you go into the water, and calls the time you spend there.
Before the trip you deal with us. On board, the crew of a 33 m phinisi with six cabins looks after you. If a question is about the water, the stops or the night, it belongs to the captain, and we pass it on rather than answer for him.

Your booking from deposit to departure
You send the first message, and our reply names the fare and the free dates. Once you choose, we confirm the cabin or the boat in writing and ask for the deposit. The seat or the date is held for you from that confirmation.
At least 7 days before sailing we need the passport details of every guest. 30 days before sailing the balance falls due. The day before, we confirm the pickup hour against your hotel or flight.
Moving a date 30 days or further ahead of sailing is free when the new date is open. From 14 to 29 days the fee is IDR 500,000. Should the boat not sail, we offer a different boat, of the same class or better, for those dates with nothing extra to pay, or the whole fare returned inside 14 days.
What the cards state, and what we add in writing
Prices, routes and rules on this site are what the rate cards state. Where a card is silent, the booking team answers in writing before you pay: the cabin for an extra bed, a guide and photo documentation on a charter, the hour of pickup.
The crew belongs to the boat, and the captain sets the stops and the night's anchorage on the day. We promise no wildlife sighting and no speed of connection.
A sentence here that reads as more than the cards say is ours to correct. Tell us, and we change it.

The boat runs under its own operator and crew. PT Komodo Explorer Indonesia is the booking partner. The booking, the payment and the pickup are ours to answer for. We do not own the boat and this site never says we do.
What happens if the boat cannot sail?
This promise is ours to keep. When Raffles Cruise cannot sail, you are offered a different boat, of the same class or better, for those dates with nothing extra to pay, or the whole fare returned inside 14 days. The route on the day stays the captain's decision.

Do you also book hotels?
We arrange rooms at the hotels on the hotels page. The hotel confirms its rate for your dates, and we put the arrival, the room and the pickup in one thread. Flights we advise on and do not sell.
