Raffles Cruise
Three reasons to sail first, nine more behind them
Updated 24 October 2026
Komodo liveaboard trip ideas by traveller type start with three: snorkelling without diving, photography from the surface, and the VIP cabins. Raffles Cruise also suits honeymoons, families, friends, company trips and solo guests. Open-trip seats start at IDR 8,750,000 (≈ USD 537).
Three reasons to sail, in the order we are asked
Snorkelling comes first. Photographs come second. The master cabins come third. That is the order guests raise them in their first message.
The first is a Komodo trip with no diving at all: shallow reef, a sandbar, a drift at Manta Point, and a crew that decides when you go in. The second is photography from the surface, from Padar at first light to Kalong at dusk. The third is the two master cabins, Malacca I and Malacca II, each with a private balcony.
Each has a page of its own, with a price example for a real party and an honest list of what the boat does not offer. Start with the one that sounds like you. Then write.
Twelve occasions, each with a suggested length and cabin
The cabin names run in order: Malacca I and Borneo on the upper deck, Malacca II and Java on the main deck. The suggestions below pick from them.
A honeymoon takes Malacca I or Malacca II for three days. Couples take any cabin, or the boat for two. A family takes the whole boat for the head count, with children from 3 at the full fare. Friends of twelve take every cabin. A trek and snorkel trip takes three days to reach Padar, Komodo and Kelor. A budget trip takes a Java seat.
A solo guest asks us about a seat, since a cabin goes to two paying guests. A company trip takes the whole boat or a block of cabins. A graduation trip takes the boat for a friend group, or seats, whichever the head count favours. The grid below links each occasion. That is the whole list. Read it as a starting point, not a rule: a family of four that wants a balcony can take Malacca I and Malacca II on the open trip.
Write the occasion and your head count to us
Tell us the occasion in the first line. Give the head count in the second. The WhatsApp message asks, among other things, how many of your party do not dive or are not confident swimmers, because that decides which stops we describe first.
A couple taking the whole boat pay the whole-boat price for two, IDR 57,500,000 (≈ USD 3,528) each over three days on the 2026 card. That suits some occasions and not others, and we say so plainly. This is not a dive boat, and none of the twelve occasions changes that.
A birthday or a proposal aboard is arranged on request, with the figure sent separately, through the services page. No extra enters a fare until a written quote is accepted. Short messages are fine, and a first message of two lines is enough for us to begin.
FAQ
Which occasion suits the open trip best?
A trek and snorkel trip, a budget trip and a couple's trip suit seats well. A seat starts at IDR 8,750,000 (≈ USD 537), and the stops are the same as on a charter. Families, friends and company parties take the whole boat once the head count reaches double figures.
Can a company book a single cabin?
Yes. Seats are sold by the cabin, per person, two sharing, so a company can book as many cabins as it needs on one open-trip date. We confirm the dates and the seat prices in writing before you pay.
What is the smallest party for a private charter?
There is no minimum. The 2026 card starts at a band of 1 to 4 guests, so a party of one pays that band. The boat is cheaper per guest as the head count rises, to a maximum of 14 guests with the two extra beds.
Can we mark a birthday on board?
Yes, on request. Decoration, a special dinner and a photographer go through the services page, each arranged on request and quoted apart. Send the date and the number of guests; a written figure comes back before anything is added.
