A Komodo liveaboard for non-divers, Raffles Cruise is a 33 m phinisi with 6 cabins and a snorkelling route that needs no tank. Open-trip seats start at IDR 8,750,000 (≈ USD 537). The whole boat for three days starts at IDR 115,000,000 (≈ USD 7,055). Sailings from 1 January 2027 use the 2027 card.

Two cards on the table: 2026 and 2027, side by side

The 2026 card runs to 31 December 2026 and prices the whole boat by the size of your party. Three days for 1 to 4 guests is IDR 115,000,000 (≈ USD 7,055). For 5 to 9 it is IDR 120,000,000 (≈ USD 7,362), and for 10 to 12 it is IDR 125,000,000 (≈ USD 7,669). The table below turns each band into a share per guest.

Already published, the 2027 card covers sailings from 1 January 2027. From March to May and from October to December, one price covers 1 to 12 guests: IDR 125,000,000 (≈ USD 7,669). For a sailing between June and September 2027 the higher card applies, and we send you the printed figure on WhatsApp. January and February 2027 are quoted on request.

Two limits, said at the start. On a charter, the local guide and any photo or video work are extras, each priced on request. Park tickets are never in a fare. Above 12 guests, two extra beds take the boat to 14, at IDR 5,500,000 (≈ USD 337) for each extra guest on three days.

Three days with the snorkelling first

At 09:30 the car is at your hotel or the airport. It drives you to the harbour. Keep your passport or ID in your hand. The boat's crew of 8 is already aboard.

Day one is three snorkels in a row: Sebayur first, then lunch, Manta Point, a snack and Taka Makassar, with dinner on board. Manta Point is on the route; whether mantas are there is the sea's decision, and the crew and guide choose the time to go in.

Day two opens with the Padar walk at sunrise, before breakfast. After it comes Pink Beach, also called Long Beach, by snorkel or paddleboard, then lunch, the Komodo walk, the Pimpe Island walk, a snack and sunset at Kalong. Day three is breakfast, free time at Kelor, lunch and the harbour around midday. Book flights after 14:00.

Held for you: the Monday and Friday seats

Held for you means one cabin, one date, confirmed on WhatsApp before you pay. The open trip is three days and two nights, and the full calendar sits on the departures page.

Seats are sold by the cabin, per person, two sharing. For 2026 sailings: Java IDR 8,750,000 (≈ USD 537), Borneo IDR 9,000,000 (≈ USD 552), Malacca II IDR 11,000,000 (≈ USD 675) and Malacca I IDR 12,000,000 (≈ USD 736). A cabin goes to two paying guests, so a lone traveller asks us first.

For 2027, seats from March to May and October to December start from the cabin prices in the table. June to September carries higher seat prices, confirmed in writing before you pay. The local guide comes with the seat, and that is confirmed in writing too. Park tickets do not.

Snorkelling, photographs and the VIP cabins

Guests who write to us name three reasons to sail. The first is snorkelling without diving, and its page sets out who goes in, what you wear and what the boat does not offer. Photography from the surface comes second, with Padar at first light and Kalong at dusk. Third are the two master cabins, Malacca I and Malacca II.

In the water, you wear snorkelling gear, and a life jacket if you are not a confident swimmer. The crew decides when and where you go in. Two stand-up paddleboards are there for anyone who would rather stay on top of the water. On the open trip the local guide swims with the party; on a charter you ask for a guide, quoted apart.

Manta Point is the stop that asks for care. The current there is strong, and it is meant for confident swimmers or a guest in a life jacket. Taka Makassar and Pink Beach are the gentle ones, shallow reef close to the shore. Each occasion page ends with a worked price for a real party, so read the one nearest yours.

Eight stops named on the route

Eight stops each have their own page: Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo, Kalong, Kelor, Sebayur, Manta Point and Taka Makassar. Each one says what you do there, and what the stop is not.

Four more names sit on the routes without a page. Manjarite belongs to the 2D1N and 4D3N, Pimpe Island to the 3D2N, Gili Lawa and Mawan to the 4D3N. Destinations change with weather, currents and National Park or port decisions, and on the day the order is the captain's call.

In a line each. Padar is a ridge walk, its main viewpoint a 25 to 45 minute climb. Pink Beach is shallow reef near the shore. Komodo is a ranger-led walk. At Manta Point the current carries you along the reef. At Taka Makassar, sand rises from the shallow reef. Kalong is a dusk stop, watched from the boat. Kelor is a short, steep hill, and Sebayur a beach and a reef.

Which month suits which sea

April to June is dry, calm and clear. July and August bring a windier sea and the busiest water. January and February are the wet season, with the roughest sea of the year and lower visibility. No month comes with a manta promised.

Sunrise at Padar in July is 06:18, and sunset at Kalong in July is 17:57. The month matrix below gives sea, visibility and crowds a row per month, so you can match your dates to the water you want.

Open-trip dates for 2027 run from March to December. January and February 2027 have none, and a whole-boat sailing in those months is quoted on request. Tell us the week you have in mind. The captain sets the stop order on the day, and the sea decides the rest.

Karaoke, mini golf and paddleboards between stops

Between stops there is a lounge area with a karaoke set, and there is mini golf. Indoors, the lounge and bar has a comfortable sofa, a TV and air conditioning. Outdoors, a relax area is laid out with bean bags.

Afternoon coffee or tea comes with a snack, and soft drinks are included. Alcohol is not; you can bring your own. Wi-Fi is local only, and a steady connection at sea is not promised.

On the covered outdoor deck, a curved sofa with navy cushions looks across the sea to a distant coastline. The two stand-up paddleboards go out at Pink Beach and at Kelor, where the third morning is free time to walk, swim or paddle board.

Who Raffles Cruise suits, and who keeps your booking

Guests who snorkel and walk suit the boat, and so do couples who want a balcony. So do parties of up to 14 who want the whole boat, and open-trip guests who want an air-conditioned ensuite cabin. Divers who need tanks, parties above 14 and anyone who depends on a steady connection at sea should look elsewhere.

From the first message to the harbour, one WhatsApp thread holds your dates, your cabins, your payment and your pickup. We answer there, and every figure is confirmed in writing before you pay.

On the day, the pickup, the payment and the paperwork are ours, and the boat sails with its own crew. If Raffles Cruise cannot sail, you are offered a different boat, of the same class or better, for those dates with nothing extra to pay, or the whole fare returned inside 14 days.

Who Raffles Cruise suits

  • Guests who snorkel and walk but do not dive: shallow reefs, a sandbar and Manta Point, with life jackets and snorkelling gear on board
  • Couples who want a master cabin with a private balcony and a jacuzzi tub or a bathtub: Malacca I and Malacca II
  • Parties of up to 14 who want the whole boat, with 6 ocean-view cabins and a bathroom for each
  • Open-trip guests who want an air-conditioned ensuite cabin from IDR 8,750,000 (≈ USD 537) a seat, leaving on Mondays and Fridays
  • Guests who like a lounge with a bar and a karaoke set, and mini golf on the open deck between stops

Who should look at another boat

  • Divers who need tanks and a compressor: none is fitted
  • Parties of more than 14
  • Guests who need dependable internet at sea: local Wi-Fi on board is all there is; the connection depends on mobile coverage and is not promised
  • A traveller on their own who wants a cabin to themselves: each cabin goes to two paying guests

Conditions to check before you book

  • You want a private balcony in a deluxe cabin: only the two Malacca master cabins have one
  • You need four beds in one cabin: every cabin has a double bed
  • You want a private deck on a seat: the open trip shares the dining room, the lounge and the open deck with the other cabins

Guests on trips we have arranged

“Loved the experience — the team and crew are the best.”

“They made our 2nd anniversary absolutely perfect. We got to stand just metres away from an actual Komodo dragon — the ranger was right there. The crew even played our song while we watched the sun go down.”

“We watched the most gorgeous sunset while thousands of flying foxes (kalong) started flying above us against the orange sky. The crew knew exactly where to position the boat for the best view.”

FAQ

Can non-divers go on a Komodo liveaboard?

Yes. The route is built for them. Day one runs Sebayur, Manta Point and Taka Makassar, all in the water, and day two offers Pink Beach by snorkel or paddleboard. Snorkelling gear and life jackets are aboard, no tank is involved, and the crew decides when and where you enter the water.

How much does a 3-day Komodo liveaboard cost?

On the 2026 card the whole boat for three days is IDR 115,000,000 (≈ USD 7,055) for 1 to 4 guests. It is IDR 120,000,000 (≈ USD 7,362) for 5 to 9, and IDR 125,000,000 (≈ USD 7,669) for 10 to 12. An open-trip seat starts at IDR 8,750,000 (≈ USD 537) per person, two sharing.

What is not in the private-charter fare?

The local guide and any photo or video documentation; both are quoted apart on request. Komodo National Park tickets, flights, personal expenses, crew gratuities, hotel nights in Labuan Bajo, alcohol and travel insurance sit outside it as well.

Is one cabin enough, or do I need the whole boat?

One cabin is enough if two of you travel and the date is open. Two paying guests take a cabin, each on a seat. From 11 guests the whole boat costs less per guest than a Malacca I seat, and the compare page sets out the figures.
