Notes from the steward: rate cards, rules and cabins checked
Updated 24 October 2026
The Raffles Cruise blog, called the steward's notes, holds short dated articles from the team that books the boat: rate cards read line by line, booking rules explained, and the six cabins checked the way a snorkeller would.
What these notes are for
At the gangway the briefing is short and exact, and these notes follow it. Each one answers a question a guest asks before booking: what changes on the 2027 card, which cabin holds a wet swimsuit best, what a rule means in rupiah and days.
Every note names its author and its date, because the cards change. The 2026 card covers sailings up to 31 December 2026, and the 2027 card covers sailings from 1 January 2027. A note that quotes a figure says which card it read.
The latest notes
Newest first. Open a note for the figures and the date they were read.
Two kinds of note appear. A figures note reads a card or a rule and sets out what it means for a party of a given size. A cabin note goes through a cabin, a route or a piece of equipment and says what a guest finds there.
