Raffles Cruise
The full day: Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo, back the same day
Updated 24 October 2026
A one-day private boat charter in Komodo begins at 05:00 and is back in Labuan Bajo the same day. On Raffles Cruise the day is Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo. It is priced at IDR 55,000,000 (≈ USD 3,374) for 1 to 4 guests on the 2026 card, and the 2027 card keeps one price for 1 to 12 guests.
The full day, laid out from the 05:00 pickup
Pickup is at 05:00 from your hotel or the airport. The car goes to the harbour. The boat sails. Breakfast follows.
The day then keeps one order: the Padar walk, lunch, Pink Beach snorkelling, a snack, the Komodo walk and the run back to Labuan Bajo. It is the only day trip on the card; every other length sleeps aboard.
No dinner is served on the full day, and no return hour is given. When the day ends depends on the sea and on the captain's decision that day. Keep the evening in town loose, and book the flight home for the next day.

The pickup is the one fixed hour. Every other time on this page is a planning guide, and the captain sets the stop order on the day.
Padar first, then the reef
Padar is the first stop after breakfast. From the main viewpoint, 25 to 45 minutes up the path, three bays lie below, each with sand of a different colour. The footing is loose and steep in parts. Wear shoes with grip, and carry a hat and water.
No dragons live on Padar, and it is not a beach stop. The ridge is what you come for. On a full day you reach it after the sun is up, so you get the light of the morning, not the first minutes after dawn.
Sunrise on Padar belongs to the overnight routes, where the walk opens the second day before breakfast. If first light matters more to you than the schedule, read the two-day page.
In the water at Pink Beach
Pink Beach is the day's snorkel. Red coral fragments tint the sand pale pink, and reef lies close to the shore. The water is 1 to 8 m deep with a mild current, and the stop is rated easy.
In the water, you wear snorkelling gear, and a life jacket if you are not a confident swimmer. The crew decides when and where you go in. A charter carries no guide unless you ask, so request one if a swimmer in your party is unsure. Two stand-up paddleboards are aboard, and on the three-day route Pink Beach is by snorkel or paddleboard, for a guest who would rather stay on top of the water.
Bring reef-safe sunscreen. The water at Pink Beach is calmer in the morning, and the light softer. Settle your snorkelling gear at the shallow edge first, and let your breathing slow before you go further out.
The price of the day on both cards
On the 2026 card, for sailings up to 31 December 2026, the full day is IDR 55,000,000 (≈ USD 3,374) for 1 to 4 guests. It is IDR 60,000,000 (≈ USD 3,681) for 5 to 9, and IDR 65,000,000 (≈ USD 3,988) for 10 to 12. At twelve guests that comes to IDR 5,420,000 (≈ USD 333) each.
The 2027 card, for sailings from 1 January 2027, has one price for 1 to 12 guests: IDR 60,000,000 (≈ USD 3,681). The full day has one 2027 price all year, so it does not rise in June to September. Two extra places take the boat to 14, at IDR 3,000,000 (≈ USD 184) a guest.
At 14 guests the 2026 total is IDR 71,000,000 (≈ USD 4,356), or IDR 5,070,000 (≈ USD 311) each.

What the full day leaves out
Manta Point is not on the full-day route, and neither is Taka Makassar. Kalong at dusk and Padar at sunrise need a night aboard. There is no dinner and no night.
A charter fare holds neither the local guide nor any photo or video documentation; each is quoted apart on request. Komodo National Park tickets are never in a fare. Each visitor buys one in their own name.
Komodo is a ranger-led walk, in closed shoes, and the trails have little shade. Anything you need beyond this, put in your first message; we reply in writing.
For Padar at sunrise, sleep aboard: the two-day route is the shortest that does it.
FAQ
Can you do Komodo in one day?
Yes, in outline. The full day on Raffles Cruise takes in Padar, Pink Beach and the Komodo walk, with the return to Labuan Bajo the same day. It leaves out Manta Point, Taka Makassar and Kalong, which need the overnight routes.
What time does the day start?
A car collects you at 05:00, from your hotel or the airport, and drives you to the harbour. Breakfast is served once the boat sails. No return hour is given for the day, because the captain decides it on the day.
Can you reach Manta Point on a day trip?
Not on this boat's full day. Manta Point is on the 3-day route on the first afternoon and on the 4-day route on day three, and the 2-day route offers it as a choice on day two. Whether mantas are there is the sea's decision.
Is the Padar walk part of the day?
Yes, it is the first stop after breakfast. Count 25 to 45 minutes from the foot of the ridge to the main viewpoint; some ground is loose and steep. Wear shoes with grip and carry water, because the day is long.
Is a one-day trip suitable for children?
A child of 0 to 2 travels free, and from 3 the full fare is charged. The day starts at 05:00 and includes the Padar climb and a ranger-led walk on Komodo. Tell us the ages and we say in writing which stops suit them.
