Eight stops on the Raffles Cruise routes, and which length reaches each

Updated 24 October 2026

Snorkelling in Komodo on the Raffles Cruise routes happens at Sebayur, at Manta Point, at Taka Makassar and at Pink Beach. Padar, Komodo and Kelor are the walks, and Kalong is the sunset. The 3D2N route calls at all eight stops.

Eight stops, and which sailings call at each

The stop pages follow the itineraries. The captain fixes the order on the day, so the days below follow the plan and are no timetable.

  • Padar: the full day, and the second morning of the 2-day, 3-day and 4-day trips, at sunrise.
  • Pink Beach: every length, snorkelling on all four and paddle boarding on the 3-day trip, where it is also called Long Beach.
  • Komodo: every length, as a ranger-led walk.
  • Kalong: sunset on the first evening of the 2-day and 4-day trips and the second evening of the 3-day trip.
  • Kelor: the first day of the 2-day and 4-day trips, and the last morning of the 3-day trip.
  • Manta Point and Taka Makassar: day one of the 3-day trip, day three of the 4-day trip, and a choice on day two of the 2-day trip.
  • Sebayur: day one of the 3-day trip, and the beach dinner and last snorkel of the 4-day trip.

Manjarite, Pimpe, Gili Lawa and Mawan appear on the itineraries and have no page here. Weather, currents and rulings from the National Park or the port can change a destination.

Which stops are snorkels, which are walks

Four stops are in the water. Sebayur, Taka Makassar and Pink Beach are shallow reef with a mild current, which makes them the first swims for guests who are not confident. Manta Point is different: a strong current, a drift along the reef, so it asks for a confident swimmer or a life jacket, which helps you float, and the crew decides when and where you go in. On the open trip the guide swims with the party; on a private charter a guide is on request, or you stay aboard.

Three stops are on foot. Padar is a ridge climb at sunrise, moderate, with loose and steep ground. Komodo is a ranger-led trek, easy, on a short, medium or long trail. Kelor offers a short, steep hill and a view over the bay. Kalong is neither: the bats are watched from the boat at dusk.

A guest who does not dive loses nothing on this list. Every stop here is reached on the surface, and no stop needs a tank.

Pick a stop to read about

Each page below says which day of which route the boat reaches the stop, what the place is not, and what the park ticket means there. The snorkel pages say who goes in and who waits, and the walk pages give the planning ranges for time and shoes.

The steward's answer to the first question guests ask: you pick the length of the trip, and the captain picks which stop comes when. Start with the 3-day route if you want all eight.

Five of the eight are fixed on the 2-day trip, with Manta Point or Taka Makassar offered as a choice on its second day. The full day keeps to Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo, which is the shortest list that still includes a snorkel and a walk.

FAQ

Can I choose the stops?

You choose the length of trip, and with it the stops that belong to that length. The captain chooses the order on the day, from the weather, the current and the park and port decisions. A request to swap a stop goes into your booking as a request, and not as a promise.

Which stops need a park ticket?

The ticket is per visitor, not per stop. Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo and Manta Point lie inside the national park. For every other stop we confirm, when we register your names, what the park system requires on your dates. The tariff is IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor.

What does the captain decide?

The order of the stops, whether a stop moves or drops with the weather and the current, and where the boat spends each night. The crew decides when and where you go into the water. We tell you what changed, and a changed route costs nothing extra.

Which stops are on every length?

Padar, Pink Beach and Komodo. They are on the full day and on the 2-day, 3-day and 4-day trips. Padar is a sunrise walk on the overnight trips, Pink Beach is a snorkel, and Komodo is a ranger-led trek.
