For friends of twelve: six double cabins, one boat, one price

Updated 24 October 2026

A Komodo liveaboard for groups of 12 means the whole of Raffles Cruise: six double cabins, IDR 125,000,000 (≈ USD 7,669) for 3 days on the 2026 card, which is IDR 10,420,000 (≈ USD 639) each. Two extra beds take the party to 14.

Six double cabins for twelve friends

Shoes off at the gangway. Cabins are allocated before lunch. Your party is the only party aboard. The crew of 8 is yours for the sailing.

The accommodation list sets out the four names in order: Malacca I and Borneo on the upper deck, Malacca II and Java on the main deck. Six cabins sit under those four names, two of them Borneo and two Java, and each holds a double bed.

Twelve guests fill all six. Every cabin is air-conditioned. Each bathroom is en-suite, with a hot shower. Nobody queues for a shower, and nobody sleeps in a saloon.

Only the two Malacca cabins have a private balcony, so friends who want those two are the first to name themselves. The rest of the party sleeps in the four deluxe cabins with no balcony.

Who shares with whom

Send us the pairs, and the cabins are allocated to match. Couples take a double. Friends who want two single beds ask us first, because a double made up as two singles is a request, confirmed in writing before you pay and never a promise.

Adjacent cabins and a particular deck are requests of the same kind. Raise them at booking, and the reply reaches you in writing ahead of payment.

Separate invoices per couple are not promised. Ask us, and we reply on WhatsApp with what the booking can do. The whole boat is one booking, so it carries one deposit of 50 per cent and one balance, due 30 days ahead of sailing.

One person collects the money in most groups. That is a matter for your group, and not one with a fixed rule.

Three days laid out for a party of twelve

Pickup is at 09:30 from your hotels or the airport, to the harbour. Day one is Sebayur, lunch, Manta Point, a snack, Taka Makassar and dinner. Three snorkels in a row suit a group with mixed confidence in the water, since the first swim is the shallowest.

In the water, twelve guests do not go in as one crowd. The crew fits every guest with a life jacket and snorkelling gear, anyone who is not a confident swimmer keeps the jacket on, and the crew decides when and where each group goes in. The sea sets the manta stop, and nobody can order a sighting.

Day two opens with the Padar walk at sunrise, then breakfast, Pink Beach by snorkel or paddleboard, lunch, the Komodo walk and the Pimpe walk. A group that splits on the climb meets again at breakfast.

Kalong closes the day at sunset with dinner on board. Day three is Kelor, free time, lunch and the harbour around midday.

The group price on both cards

Two cards on the table. For 12 guests the 2026 card is IDR 125,000,000 (≈ USD 7,669) for the boat, which is IDR 10,420,000 (≈ USD 639) each. For 14 guests it is IDR 125,000,000 (≈ USD 7,669) + 2 x IDR 5,500,000 (≈ USD 337) = IDR 136,000,000 (≈ USD 8,344), which is IDR 9,710,000 (≈ USD 596) each.

The 2027 card is IDR 125,000,000 (≈ USD 7,669) for the boat, March to May and October to December. Dates from June to September 2027 sit on the higher card; we send you the figure on WhatsApp.

The 2026 card is for sailings up to 31 December 2026, and the 2027 card for sailings from 1 January 2027. January and February 2027 are quoted on request.

Against the open trip, a Malacca I seat costs more per person than the whole boat from 11 guests, and a Malacca II seat costs more from 12. A Borneo or Java seat stays cheaper at every head count up to 14, but it shares the boat. The guide and the documentation are quoted separately on a charter.

Two more places on the extra beds

The published maximum is 14. Twelve sleep in the cabins, and two extra beds take the party to 14. Our written confirmation names the cabins that take them, and the bed type and size are confirmed in writing too.

The extra bed costs IDR 5,500,000 (≈ USD 337) per guest for the 3-day route, on both cards. Only two extra beds exist in all, and which cabin holds one is confirmed in writing before you pay.

A child up to age 2 sails free. From the age of 3 a child pays the full fare. Whether a free child counts toward the 12 or the 14 is confirmed in writing, so send us the ages and the head count comes back in writing.

A party of 15 or more does not fit. See the charter page for the full terms, or the cabins for the layout.

FAQ

How many friends fit on the boat?

Twelve in the six double cabins, and 14 with two extra beds. The published maximum is 14, on every length and both cards. Which cabins take the extra beds is settled in your written confirmation.

Can we split the payment?

Payment runs in two steps: a deposit of 50 per cent, then the balance 30 days before you sail. Separate invoices per couple are not promised. Ask us, and we reply on WhatsApp with what the booking can do.

What is the group price per person?

On the 2026 card, 12 guests on the 3-day route pay IDR 125,000,000 (≈ USD 7,669) for the boat, which is IDR 10,420,000 (≈ USD 639) each. At 14 guests it is IDR 136,000,000 (≈ USD 8,344), or IDR 9,710,000 (≈ USD 596) each. Park tickets and the guide are outside.

Can two more friends join?

Yes, up to the maximum of 14, on the two extra beds at IDR 5,500,000 (≈ USD 337) per guest for the 3-day route. We confirm which cabins take them in writing before you pay. Ask us if a child under 3 is among the two.

Is there a minimum group?

The private charter has no minimum beyond your party: the 2026 card starts at 1 to 4 guests. On the open trip, a cabin needs 2 paying guests. A group of 12 is the size at which the boat becomes the cheaper fare against the Malacca seats.
