What the park charges, who buys the ticket, and when

Updated 24 October 2026

KEXI's park package per guest: 3D2N: IDR 650,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest; 4D3N: IDR 750,000 per foreign guest, IDR 350,000 per Indonesian guest. A Komodo National Park ticket for snorkellers costs IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor and IDR 50,000 per Indonesian citizen on weekdays, paid per person in the visitor's own name. No Raffles Cruise fare includes it, and ranger and pier charges are extra.

Send nationalities and dates

The tariff per visitor

The park prices entry by nationality and by day. A ticket for a foreign visitor is IDR 250,000 a day, whichever day of the week. For an Indonesian citizen the day rate is IDR 50,000 from Monday to Friday and IDR 75,000 on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. The tariff rests on Government Regulation 36 of 2024.

Check the date under the table: it shows when we last checked the figures. Rates can change, and a change goes into the table and into your written quote on the same day.

Since 1 April 2026 Padar, Rinca and Komodo islands and nearby sites cap daily visitors by time session. That limit has been revised during the year, so the registration step tells you what is open on your date, and this page cannot.

One package covers the government entrance ticket (IDR 250,000 per foreign visitor per day, PP 36/2024), the ranger fee and the local levies. It is quoted per guest, separate from the boat price. For other trip lengths, the desk quotes the package with your booking.

Who buys each ticket, and by when

Every visitor holds a ticket of their own. SiOra, the park's own online system, sells the tickets, and no cash desk exists at the gate. Registration needs each visitor's name and passport number.

We make the registration for you. We need every guest's name as the passport shows it, the passport number and the nationality, because the price depends on it. Send them at least 7 days before sailing. A guest whose nationality changes the price, such as a resident with an Indonesian card, tells us at the start and not at the pier.

Day count matters as well, since the tariff is per person per day in the park. We count the days with you from the route you book, and the ticket we register matches the sailing dates.

Totalling the tickets for your own party

The calculator table takes the tariff times the guests times the days in the park, with foreign and Indonesian visitors counted apart. Read the row nearest your party and your trip.

A mixed party adds two columns: the foreign guests at one rate and the Indonesian guests at another. Weekend dates move the Indonesian rate. Because the figure is paid apart from the fare, it never alters the boat price or the open-trip seat price.

If the table has no row for your head count, send the count and the dates. We total it and put the sum in writing before you pay anything. A party of 12 holding mixed passports is the case where this earns its keep, since one wrong nationality changes the total.

Check the total against the booking dates, not against the calendar days in the island group. The ticket follows the days you are inside the park.

Ranger fees, pier charges and drone rules

Ranger fees and pier charges come on top of the ticket. They are paid separately, they can change, and we show no figure for them here because a figure on this page would go out of date. We confirm the current charges when we register your names.

Camera drones fall under the park's own rules. Ask us before you fly one or pack one, and do not assume that an entry ticket covers it. This page claims no permit and promises none.

Walking on Komodo is done with a park ranger, who sets the trail. The ranger's charge belongs to this group of costs, and the trail you walk is the ranger's call. Ask the ranger on the day if you want a longer one; the answer depends on the party and the heat. Pier charges are paid where the boat lands, and we give you the figure with the quote.

Why tickets are kept apart from the fare

A fare prices a boat or a seat. A ticket prices a person in a park, by nationality and by day. The two move on different calendars, and mixing them would make a fare that changes whenever the park revises its tariff.

A charter fare covers the boat, the crew, meals, snorkelling gear, life jackets and the hotel or airport pickup. Guide and photo documentation cost extra on a charter, while the open-trip seat carries the guide. Dinner on the beach belongs to the 4D3N only. Park tickets sit outside every fare, and so does every quote we send.

Snorkellers need a ticket too. Entry is per visitor, whatever you do in the water, and a guest who stays aboard for a stop is still counted in the party we register.

Keep the tickets out of your fare maths, and add them to your budget as a line of their own.

FAQ

What does a foreigner pay for the Komodo park ticket?

IDR 250,000 for each foreign visitor, for each day, whatever the weekday. You buy it online in the visitor's own name and pay it apart from the fare, with ranger and pier charges added. The tariff table shows the date we last checked the figure.

Do snorkellers pay a different fee from divers?

Ask us. The tariff on this page is the same figure for each visitor of a given nationality and day, and we state no separate snorkeller rate, because none is confirmed. We give you the exact total in writing before you pay.

Is the ticket in the charter fare?

No. Park tickets are in no fare, charter or open trip. The charter price covers the boat, and the open-trip price covers your seat. Tickets are bought per visitor, online, and paid separately from the deposit and the balance.

Do children pay the park fee?

The tariff table has no separate child rate, so we do not state one. Send the ages with your names and we confirm each child's ticket in writing when we register the group, before you pay anything for them. A child aged 0 to 2 travels free on the boat; the park's own rule for a small child is a separate question that we put to the park system for you.

Do I need a drone permit?

Camera drones fall under the park's own rules, so ask us before you fly or pack one. Nothing on this page grants or promises a permit, and an entry ticket is not one. We answer from the park's rules as they stand on your dates.
