Two days laid out from the 09:30 pickup

Your hotel or the airport is the pickup point at 09:30, and a car drives you to the harbour. You sleep one night aboard, in your own air-conditioned cabin. This length is for the whole boat; the open trip runs three days only.

Day one is an afternoon of three stops and a dusk. Day two is a sunrise walk, the reef, the dragons and the way home. No clock time is given for the return on day two; the captain sets it on the day.

Destinations change with weather, currents and National Park or port decisions. Arrive in Labuan Bajo one day before sailing.

Stops that can swap places on the day: Manta Point ⇄ Taka Makassar.

The pickup is the one fixed hour. Every other time on this page is a planning guide, and the captain sets the stop order on the day.

First afternoon: Kelor, a snorkel at Manjarite, dusk at Kalong

Kelor comes first, a small hilly islet an hour by boat from the harbour. The climb is short but steep, 15 to 30 minutes over dry ground, and the bay opens out below the top. Sturdy shoes earn their place here. Lunch follows.

Then Manjarite, the afternoon snorkel. Its depth and reef are on request, so we describe nothing more. Whatever the stop looks like, the crew decides when and where you go in, and a life jacket is worn by anyone who is not a confident swimmer.

A snack, then Kalong. Sunset there in July is 17:57. Some 15 minutes after it the bats stream out of the mangroves, and you watch them from the boat, not the shore. Dinner is served on board. Where the boat lies for the night follows the weather, and the captain decides that day.

Day two: Padar before breakfast, then the reef

A headtorch helps on the Padar walk, since guests step off the boat some 65 minutes before sunrise. Sunrise in July is 06:18. The climb takes 25 to 45 minutes, and you are back aboard for breakfast.

Lunch and the Pink Beach snorkel come next, then a snack and the Komodo walk with a park ranger. After Komodo the route offers a choice: "sandy beach at Taka Makassar or snorkelling at Manta Point". The captain picks on the day, from the tide and the current. Manta Point is not promised, and neither is any manta.

Then the boat returns to Labuan Bajo, with the drop-off at your hotel or the airport. Do not book a flight home for the same evening. Book it for the next day.

The 2D1N boat price, 2026 card beside 2027 card

The 2026 card covers sailings up to 31 December 2026. Two days and one night is IDR 100,000,000 (≈ USD 6,135) for 1 to 4 guests. It is IDR 105,000,000 (≈ USD 6,442) for 5 to 9, and IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748) for 10 to 12. At 12 guests that is IDR 9,170,000 (≈ USD 563) each.

For sailings from 1 January 2027 the 2027 card applies. March to May and October to December cost IDR 100,000,000 (≈ USD 6,135) for 1 to 12 guests. Dates from June to September 2027 sit on the higher card; the figure is printed on the card and we send it to you. January and February 2027 are quoted on request.

Two extra beds take the boat to 14 at IDR 4,500,000 (≈ USD 276) a guest, and the 2026 total at 14 is IDR 119,000,000 (≈ USD 7,301). The fare holds neither the local guide nor any photo or video documentation; each is quoted apart on request, and park tickets are never included.

What a second night would add

A second night turns this into the three-day route, and the difference is real. Day one becomes three snorkels in a row, with Manta Point a scheduled stop rather than a choice on day two. Taka Makassar and Sebayur join it.

Day two gains the Pimpe Island walk, after the Komodo trail and before dusk at Kalong. The third morning brings free time at Kelor to walk, swim or paddle board, then lunch and the harbour around midday.

The price rises with the length, but not in proportion. Set the two figures above beside the three-day ones on that page, and weigh the extra stops against the extra night. If Manta Point is why you are reading, choose the three-day route, where it is fixed.

FAQ

What does a 2-day, 1-night Komodo tour cost?

For the whole boat on the 2026 card: IDR 100,000,000 (≈ USD 6,135) for 1 to 4 guests, IDR 105,000,000 (≈ USD 6,442) for 5 to 9, IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748) for 10 to 12. The 2027 card sets IDR 100,000,000 (≈ USD 6,135) for March to May and October to December.

Is 2 days enough for Komodo?

It covers the classic stops: Kelor, a snorkel, Kalong at dusk, Padar at sunrise, Pink Beach and Komodo. It leaves out Sebayur, Taka Makassar as a fixed stop, and a scheduled Manta Point. Two days suit a first look; three suit a snorkeller.

Which stops do you miss on 2 days?

You miss Sebayur, the Pimpe Island walk and the free morning at Kelor. Manta Point and Taka Makassar come as a choice on day two, not as two stops, so the captain picks one on the day and promises neither.

Where do you sleep on a 2-day trip?

On board, in your own air-conditioned cabin with its own bathroom. Where the boat lies for the night follows the weather, and the captain decides that day. We can name the day's stops in advance, never the berth for the night.

Can I start the day I land?

The pickup is at 09:30 from the airport or your hotel, so a morning flight can connect. Even so, arrive in Labuan Bajo one day before sailing, because flights are cancelled or delayed. A night in town is the safer plan.
