Raffles Cruise
For your family: six cabins, children from 3 at the full fare
Updated 24 October 2026
A Komodo family tour on Raffles Cruise gives each family group its own double cabin. A child of 0 to 2 travels free, and from 3 pays the full fare. Four adults and two children are 6 paying guests: IDR 120,000,000 (≈ USD 7,362) for the whole boat, IDR 20,000,000 (≈ USD 1,227) each.
A cabin plan for the family you bring
Every cabin has one double bed. Six guests use three cabins, ten use five, and twelve fill all six. Two extra beds take the boat to 14, and the cabins that take them are confirmed in writing before you pay.
We allocate cabins; you tell us who sleeps with whom. Parents with a child under 12 months, a pair of teenagers who want a cabin of their own, grandparents who want the main deck: each is a request, and we answer it in writing. Two single beds from a double is a request, not a promise.
Count the children in the bed plan. Every child needs a place to sleep on an overnight trip, free or paid. Say so early.
| Cabin | Rooms | Beds | Sleeps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Malacca I | 1 | Double bed | 2 |
| Malacca II | 1 | Double bed | 2 |
| Borneo | 2 | Double bed | 4 |
| Java | 2 | Double bed | 4 |
| Berths in total | 6 | 12 |
Children: free to 2, full fare from 3
A child of 0 to 2 travels free, with a parent or guardian. From 3 the full fare applies, on a seat or on the whole boat. There is no half fare and no teenager band, so there is no figure to look up and nothing to guess.
Whether a free child counts toward the 12-guest band or the 14 maximum is confirmed in writing before you pay. Send us the ages, and the head count comes back in writing. A family with a two-year-old and a five-year-old gets one figure for the head count and one for the beds. We send both.
The whole boat is the better figure once the family is large. Four adults and two children aged 5 and 7 are six paying guests: IDR 120,000,000 (≈ USD 7,362), which is IDR 20,000,000 (≈ USD 1,227) each. The same family can take three cabins on the open trip from IDR 8,750,000 (≈ USD 537) per person, two sharing.
Ask early.

In the water with children
In the water, every child wears a life jacket, and the crew decides when and where each child goes in. Child life-jacket sizes are on request, confirmed in writing before you pay.
Pink Beach is the gentle stop. The reef is shallow and close to the shore, 1 to 8 m deep, with a mild current. Pink Beach is offered by snorkel or paddleboard, and the two stand-up paddleboards on board let a child stay on top of the water beside a parent, which many younger children prefer to a first face-down float.
Manta Point is the stop with the strong current. A parent decides, with the crew, whether a child goes in there, and staying aboard is always allowed.
Family items on request
A cot, a child seat or a children's menu are on request, confirmed in writing before you pay. Ask, and you have the answer in writing before you pay. Pack what the youngest needs for sleep and for the harbour car.
The bring list names a backpack, sandals or trekking shoes, personal medicines, sunblock and emergency cash. Add sun hats, spare swimwear and a dry change for each child. Soft drinks are included, so juice boxes are optional.
Local Wi-Fi is on board, and a steady connection at sea is not promised. Download the films before you leave the harbour. A TV and a karaoke set are in the lounge, and mini golf is on the deck.
